PRIVACY POLICY for the 2WB app.
Use of this app DOES NOT REQUIRE any sort of personal data from the app user.
However, for purposes of transparency, the user must know that there are three (3) items from the app user's mobile device that are passed to
the 2WB website.
GPS LOCATION: use of the app requires the current GPS location to be sent to the website as input data during a data download request so as to
find all relevant website data base on the user's location; these website information are then gathered together and sent back to the app
for display on the app screen so the user can decide which item they like to see more of. The GPS data is eventually discarded after sending back that
information and after a general report has been printed on the number of unique users using the app within a certain area for statistic purposes.
GENERATED DEVICE ID: use of the app requires a time base generated device id that uniquely identifies a device that uses the app. The device id
is generated by getting the absolute time when the app is first used, plus the absolute time when the first data download is invoked. This device
id is for analystics use only as to be explained on the next item. Please note that the device id is not sent as input in the app's download page;
this means at a certain time on the same GPS coordinate, the data provided by the 2WB website will always be the same for all mobile devices.
ANALYTICS DATA: use of the app generates a set of short data logs saved on the mobile device which generally specifies what items from the website
that the app user found interesting; this is base on which items were selected by the user while using the screens of the app - meaning,
as the user taps items obtained from the website, the app saves key portion of the item together with the the device id mentioned earlier.
This analystics data are all sent to the 2WB website when the user accesses the screen to download the 2WB website data. Once sent, these
analytics data are then deleted from the user's mobile device. The analytics data are used to generate marketing statistics to be used
to gauge the degree of interest of the general public with regards to the data that is now residing on the website; the marketing statistics -
which do not have any personal information on a particular user - may be shared in the future with any entity who might be interested in
marketing or advertising on the platform.
